Hello sweeties! Welcome back to the Lemons! Today is my birthday! I’m 19! It’s a little insane to me that I’ve been playing this game for almost 10 years now. And before the sims 3 it was the original sims!
In the last chapter, the family struggled in getting over the death of Gen 2 spouse Tammi, Niall got into an argument with a proprietor about his magicianing skills, Prisha and Eli had an awkward encounter, the toddlers almost died multiple times, Alec moved out, and Sylvia grew into a child.
Did I mention Sylvia’s party was an absolute disaster? The LAG this save has is just insane. The house was the core of the problem, but I spent so much friggen time building that thing. I mean, my heart and soul went into that damn lag-lot. Sylvia’s party was at the park right beside of the coffeehouse AND it was 4 hours before Niall’s gig, and he was STILL LATE. AND ABOUT TO PISS HIMSELF. YOU BETTER NOT STOP THE SHOW. YOU BETTER PEE ON YOURSELF WHILE BIRDS FLY OUT OF YOUR SLEEVES MISTER.
Niall: WHAT IF IT’S NOT PEE??? I don’t know what to tell you.
Pee or not, Niall’s bladder froze until the gig was over. He promptly went home to potty in the safety of his own bathroom.
Niall: This is your fault. Our save was fine until you built this stupid house.
But it’s so pretty :,(
Niall wasn’t the only one suffering because of the party from hell. Prisha couldn’t even stay awake long enough to get Link to his crib. His yelling woke up the entire lot. I’ve NEVER had that happen before. Only with light sleepers. This toddler was pissed.
In a last-ditch effort to make myself stay in this house I spent so much time on, I decorated Sylvia’s room with what was left of the family funds.
Sylvia: You’ve been playing for an hour and have only gotten this much done. Stop trying to save this house. Don’t be a dummy.
Yea, she was right. This save, whatever was wrong with it, it was a goner. It was time to move the Lemons, and onto a smaller lot too. I wanted to pick a town from My Sims Reality, but then I remembered they weren’t populated. I’ve never manually populated a town. If you guys have, please tell me how you do it. I have a faint memory of a forum going around that had a lot of CC free households that had been ran through Custard specifically created to fill a town. Because I was too lazy and uneducated to populate one of My Sims Reality’s beautiful world’s, I stuck with a tried and true, Rflong7’s Legacy Island 3.
And yes, I won’t lie, I wasn’t feeling much up to building. So I downloaded the Lemon’s a home as well. It’s Avondale by luvalphvle on Mod the Sims. Maybe in the near future I will build the Lemons a new home, but for right now this house fits perfectly, gives me no lag, and is also beautiful.
Here’s the entrance. The interior is also very simple, but I was feeling super simplistic when I was decorating it. I probably wont change it much, as I assume the building bug will bite me sometime in the near future and I will put effort into creating the perfect house for Gen 4.
The living room.
Kitchen.
Nook.
Behind the kitchen is the entrance to the dining room as well as the stairs that lead to the basement.
The dining room is so simple. It is a drastic change from the Gen 2 and first Gen 3 house. I can’t say that I don’t like it. Tell me what you think, simple or my usual style? The simplicity is kinda refreshing.
Finishing the first floor we have the master bedroom.
And the master bath.
Upstairs we have Sylvia’s room. I hardly changed anything from the original look of the room. When Sylvia ages up I will style it more towards what I think she would like.
Here’s Lincoln’s nursery. Again, minimal or no changes. It was cute the way it came.
There’s a third room upstairs that is Percy’s for the time being. I didn’t change anything in it and it is very boring.
Downstairs there is a rec room. I didn’t change anything about this, either. I haven’t really decided anything to do with it yet.
Then there is Eli’s work room.
And his bedroom. Boring but I couldn’t find the will to decorate it just yet.
Prisha: No lag??? No baby screaming every 3 seconds. It’s a March miracle!
I agree. There is a lot to do in this town, so I let them roam free a bit.
SO CUTE
Sylvia: Please no flash photography.
They settled down to do what they all do best.
Eli: Are you trying to say the thing I do best is stand around doing nothing?
Ever since Tammi died and you took the torch to your own ass? Yes.
Speaking of dead family members, I cleared the family tree of the first generation. I’m not sure how expanded it can be until it’s too much, and I’m sad to see their genes go, but the lag has seriously faltered ever since I’ve done it. What’s you guys’ experience with family tree lag? Is there a particular amount of generations that you start feeling it?
This is interesting. This park has all the Into the Future stuff in it. I never really played with that pack.
Sylvia: Hey dad, try to hit me! You have such bad aim; you can’t do it!
Niall: Awh, she’s so sweet.
She just insulted your athletic ability.
Niall: My what?
Never mind.
Sylvia: I’m gonna hit him in the nu-
LANGUAGE!
Niall: *squeals* NOT MY HACKY SACK!
Sylvia: Ahahahaha!
Niall: Evil little thing!
No remember, she’s so SWEET!
Sylvia rolled a wish to acquire a potion, so I sent her to the… I don’t know what to call this. Alchemy store? Witch hut?
Sylvia: Let’s stick with witch hut. That sounds way cooler.
Sylvia: Are you telling me this stupid woman won’t sell me anything?
Maybe it was a little dumb of me to think they would sell an 8 year old dangerous potions.
Sylvia: Well that’s just too logical for the world I live in.
Canned soup? Is there no one here to cook dinner?
Sylvia: Do I look like I’m going to wait around for someone to come in and burn a grilled cheese just so I can eat canned soup anyways?
Awh. I like this house. Everyone is so close together, but there’s plenty of space for routing.
Well don’t you look fancy.
Prisha: I went to the Bistro so I could write a blog post about it. You didn’t forget what my actual goal in life was, right?
Prisha’s 5 star blog isn’t going too hot. So far, it’s a 2 star blog. I am a failure.
Well, not a total failure. Look how cute this little one is.
So is everyone in the house against using the stove or what?
Niall: I can’t cook! Grandpa Isaac always did the cooking around here.
Grandpa Isaac has been dead for a while, I thought SOMEONE would have learned how to make some waffles in that time.
Eli: Don’t say it. Don’t say anything.
Niall: This is why-
Eli: I said DON’T say it.
Oh boys, when will you get along?
Well, this is the end of chapter 7! Tell me what you guys think of the new house! Also, I have a lot of chapter’s ready to be published and I want to know your thoughts on the heir poll. Sylvia and Lincoln are about 4 days apart, so unlike last generation, there isn’t going to be a huge gap in between the 2 aging into teens. I also plan on sending them both to University. Do you want to see a heir poll before they leave for Uni, or after they get home?
Thanks for your thoughts and for reading! Hope you’re all having a good week!

I always love your pics, they are so pretty. 🙂 Your sims are pretty, too.

I think I’d like the heir poll before they go to uni – like that we’re not influenced by their eventual success or failure, but have to take them as they come! 🙂
