1.4 Fatherless for My Birthday

AND WELCOME BACK to another chapter of the Lemons! We last left off with and very pregnant Nichole and a very boring Isaac (as all he has done since getting married is skill and fix household appliances). We will finally get a look at the firstborn of generation 2!

And we might as well not stall, since the next picture in this order is BANG and BAM, literally Nichole giving birth.

Nichole: You downloaded this bra with matching underwear that are both fit for maternity, why didn’t you use them??

Sorry I’m forgetful okay!

And where was Isaac in all this?

Yep, fixing the shower. So much for family-oriented.

Isaac: How is this not family-oriented? Nichole is going to want to use this right after she gives birth.

I might be able to see your point.

AND ITS A GIRL. Welcome to the world, Kara Lemons. Her traits are neurotic and disciplined. Her favorites are dark wave, the color aqua, and fruit parfait.

I bought Nichole a easel with all intentions of her learning how to paint for portraits, but I’m not sure that ever happened. If I’m correct, she hardly even finished this one painting.

Nichole: But it is a masterpiece.

Sure thing.

Now this is where my screenshots become lack luster. I also stopped writing notes after Nichole moved in, because my procrastination of actually creating this site had went so far that I had decided it was never going to actually do it.

Therefore, even without pictures, I will try my best to fill you in. Isaac had gotten promoted to around level 4 in the culinary career. Nichole hadn’t been to work since she joined the household, but I was trying to catch her up in charisma points in between taking care of Kara because I wanted her to (hopefully) be able to reach the top of her career as soon as she got back to going to work.

Nichole got pregnant again, and now we are caught up. See, not much was happening anyways *facepalm*

And it was another girl! Welcome Louisa Lemons, second born of generation 2. She rolled good, and loves the heat. Her favorites are digitunes, sushi, and lilac.

Nichole: Thanks for skipping over our lives completely and only labeling the birth of our children as important.

Yea yea yea, stop complaining. You’re important sure.

And so is Kara’s birthday!

Isaac: I’M SO HAPPY I THINK MY FACE IS GOING TO BE STUCK LIKE THIS FOREVER.

Nichole: Yea, well I’m starving. And our ceiling is gone. Great.

Yea, I think Nichole started to resent me a little.

Kara got all of her mother’s coloring, and definitely her lips. Her eye shape is still up in the air.

Whoever she looks like, she’s an adorable toddler.

What are you doing? I thought you were going to teach her how to walk?

Nichole: First she needs to know how to fall with style.

All the while, little Louisa slept soundly in her baby swing.

Nichole: Now Kara, go poopy in the pink baby toilet.

Kara: What if the water splashes back on me? What if it explodes? *stares into distance with continually more terrifying ideas*

Oh, neurotic sims.

Finally, a picture of Isaac with one of the kids. He really is family-oriented guys. I guess because Nichole’s always home, I get tons of pictures of her doing things and not as many of my main man Isaac.

But here he is, being the good dad he was meant to be.

Isaac: Okay Kara, now put the block through the round hole.

Kara: But dad, I’m not even holding a block.

ISAAC STOP MAKING YOUR KIDS DUMB YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE A GENIUS.

ONCE AGAIN I HAVE NO PICTURES OF WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING ON IN THE HOUSEHOLD. Nichole is pregnant again, and it’s Louisa’s birthday. Isaac took her to the cake and…

This happened. THAT IS MY FOUNDER, THAT BLACK DUST IN THE FLOOR IS MY PRECIOUS FOUNDER BURNED TO BITS BY A FREAK BIRTHDAY CAKE FIRE.

Grim: Wait, this guy? This guy has two kids and one on the way. Oh man, I feel bad.

ME TOO GRIMMY. SAVE MY FOUNDER.

Isaac: Aurghhh, am I a zombie?

Nichole: NO, YOU’RE DEAD YOU IDIOT. THAT GENIUS TRAIT WAS MISPLACED.

Grim: Yea, sorry man. I’m here to reap your soul.

Isaac: Well, I guess if that’s the way it’s got to be.

Nichole: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

And so he dissipated, leaving behind a very subpar urn because his life was COMPLETELY UNFULFILLED. I’ve had elder sims that had long ago fulfilled their LTW beg for their life, and my stupid founder, not even through the first half of his young adult stage, couldn’t even try to save himself??

If you couldn’t already tell, I was incredibly pissed that this happened. I wish I wouldn’t have been so rushed to help him and taken some pictures of the situation as it was happening. He got trapped behind the fire and glitched up until he couldn’t move. He could have walked around it but I guess he continually route failed. Then he caught on fire. I even reset him, because wtf I couldn’t do anything to save him and there was a shower NOT TWO FEET FROM HIM. Nichole kept route failing to put him out! But the reset didn’t work and he died right there, leaving behind his two daughters and his pregnant wife.

I think Grim felt bad, because he stuck around and played with Kara for at least 45 minutes before finally leaving. It was all sad, weird, and annoying.

I had a serious urge to quit without saving and pretend like it never happened but THIS IS A LEGACY AND THAT’S AGAINST THE RULES. So I saved and hoped that somehow Nichole could support three babies by herself.

Fatherless for my birthday. That’s a good title. Or does that give too much away?

Nah, that’s good. I’m keeping it.

So poor Louisa was laid on the charred ground where her father had just died to grow up into a toddler. Happy day.

She grew up with her father’s eyes and hair color. *sob*

That night, Nichole went into labor. I hadn’t even bothered cleaning up the mess or putting the urn somewhere that wasn’t the middle of the floor yet. Can’t you tell how much I miss him? *head desk*

She stopped and cried about her late husband before finally giving birth to A BOY I DIDN’T EVEN PICTURE. I guess it doesn’t matter, you know what he looks like. A wad of blue blanket. Irwin Lemons, I for Isaac, with the traits good and clumsy. His favorites are classical, falafel, and aqua.

Nichole: At least you fixed my underwear.

I upgraded the nursery, which was so trash before that I hadn’t even photographed it. Each of the babies cribs are colored to their favorite.

And then I went outside and built this, the proper burial place for a founder. Although, he didn’t really get to do much except give birth to some babies. I guess that’s good enough *shrugs*

The snow was so deep you couldn’t even see his little grave under it. I felt sad, annoyed, and completely unfulfilled by letting him die so soon. Sorry Isaac, I really wish I could have saved you. Too bad you glitched up in the corner of the room.

But he wasn’t gone too long since he came out for a midnight haunt not even two nights after his death.

Isaac: Hey what’s up?

I hate you.

The first thing he did was take a shower. Because, as a ghost that totally seems necessary.

Isaac: I just burned to death will you cut me some slack?

Maybe the lesson here is that ghosts smell funny.

He then proceeded to haunt this chair, because who cares if your family misses you and your children are literally down the hall watching, right?

They look too busy for him anyways.

And I’ll end the chapter with this picture of Isaac doing the dishes, because as much crap as I just gave him, he is helpful even dead.

Isaac: That’s right woman.

Anyways, yea, that happened. I hope you guys are as surprised as I was. I hope this chapter was funny to someone, and I hope you’ve had a good day!

Thanks for reading!

    Where to start?
First of all the kids are so cute! And yeah Nichole is kinda right about the babies being the important things xD that’s how things tend to go in sims 😛
OMG ISAAC! That is so sad! I looked at the title of the chapter and wondered what it meant thinking surely Isaac doesn’t die this early?!
WELP! Good on you for sticking with it though! Good luck to Nichole (and you) for raising the kids!
